Designing Workday's original agent experience in Microsoft 365 Copilot
In 2023, Workday and Microsoft were exploring how trusted Workday information and actions could appear inside Microsoft 365 Copilot.
I led UX for the original Workday Agent concepts and first two generations of the experience. Workday and Microsoft product leaders set the broader partnership direction; I worked with Microsoft teams, customers, PMs, researchers, and engineers to turn changing platform capabilities into concrete use cases, interaction patterns, working prototypes, and public demos.
The product later evolved after I moved to ASOR. This case study focuses on the original design work and what we learned.
