Designing Workday's Agent System of Record
End-to-end UX for managing and governing enterprise AI agents
I was the first product designer assigned to Workday's Agent System of Record and owned the core UX end to end—from information architecture and lifecycle flows to security, governance, prototypes, and implementation.
This project began before AI agents had a stable enterprise mental model. Were they digital workers, software assets, automation tools, or something new?
That ambiguity became the core design challenge. Through research, competitive analysis, prototyping, and architecture collaboration, I helped define an early product model for configuring and managing agents inside Workday’s existing enterprise architecture. The work required bridging HCM concepts, IT-management expectations, security constraints, and emerging AI governance needs into a system customers could understand and teams could build on.
